Autumn is a former competitive ice dancer who began skating at the age of 12. Under the guidance of coaches Chris Martin and Helen McGrew, she discovered her passion for ice dancing in high school, particularly enjoying the excitement of being lifted into the air while skating with a partner. Along with her former ice dance partner, she trained with Bruce Montemayor and Jerry Santoferrara, and she also had the opportunity to work with Olympian Paul Duchesnay, Chip Rossbach and Franklyn Singley, throughout her competitive career. With over 20 years of coaching experience, Autumn has worked with skaters of all levels, from beginners to international competitors, in the Cleveland area. She has choreographed and directed numerous ice shows for both the Center Ice Skating Club and the Strongsville Skating Club. As a secondary coach at Center Ice, she helps fellow coaches and skaters enhance their skills in stroking, power, edge quality, posture, skating skills, and ice dance. Academically, Autumn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Education, both from Kent State University. She teaches fourth-grade and sixth-grade math and is a proud mother of a teenage daughter who plays Junior Olympic Volleyball. In addition to her coaching and teaching roles, Autumn is passionate about health and fitness. She is a certified instructor in PiYo (a Pilates and yoga fusion) and Core de Force (an MMA-inspired workout).
