Michelle began her skating journey with group lessons in the Learn to Skate program at Center Ice in 2003. Her love for the sport inspired her to start teaching Learn to Skate in 2010, and she has been coaching private lessons since 2013. In 2020, she took on the role of Skating Director, where she oversees programs and initiatives that promote skating at all levels. A highly accomplished skater, Michelle has qualified and competed at National Showcase, National Solo Dance Finals, and was a medalist at Adult Nationals. Michelle is a 5-time Gold Medalist in Skating Skills, Freestyle, Partnered Pattern Dance, Solo Free Dance, and Adult Partnered Free Dance. Michelle graduated from the University of Akron in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, along with a minor in Psychology. Michelle’s educational background enhances her coaching approach, incorporating principles of health and wellness into her teaching strategies. She believes in fostering a supportive and encouraging environment, where skaters can develop their skills and confidence. Michelle’s passion for skating and dedication to coaching inspire those around her, making her a valued member of the skating community.
